Hey guys! Today I wanted to tell you about a palette that I have really put to the test and learned to love for the past couple weeks professionally. It’s the Tartelette palette by Tarte Cosmetics. This palette is an all matte palette that serves as a great stable to have in any make up kit whether you’re a professional or just wanted to have a good go-to-palette to throw in your purse for everyday looks. Today I’m going to break down this palette with 5 easy key points that most people want to know before they make the splurge to pick it up.
Pigmentation: Everybody always wants to know about the color pay off a palette will have and if it’s worth the money. To my expectations, the color pay off for this palette is beautiful and easy to blend out when applying the shadows to the eye. In the picture below you can see the color pay off (just one swipe) of how pigmentated they are and how creamy they look. The creamer and better color pay off a palette has, the easier it is to work with.
Row One: ( Left to Right) Free Spirit, Force of Nature, Dreamer and Multi-tasker.
Row Two: Caregiver, Natural Beauty, Best Friend and Bombshell.
Row Three: Super Mom, Wanderer, Power Player and Fashionista
Shade Range: The shade range on this palette is pretty unique when you go row by row. If you look at each row, the progression in the shade range goes light to dark but stays in the same tone/ color pattern. The best thing about that is you can make a pretty simple to dramatic look without having to grab another palette to do so ( unless you want shimmer).
3. Naming each shadow: Now this can totally not matter to you at all but I think it’s always great when a cosmetic company takes the extra effort to give each individual shadow a cute little name unlike the palettes you can buy anywhere else. Why I think this matters is if they ever decide to bring the shadows out individually to sell or you want the give a reference to what colors your using, you have a name to look for/ can use. We all know how it can be when you find something that you love and want to repurchase it again and again.
4. Size: I believe having a compact palette is still great to have because you can fit it in your purse easier/ make up kit and it also leaves more room for other make up, who doesn’t want that?!
5. Price: This one might be the most important point. Everyone wants to also get the best deal but have good quality which I don’t blame you, I do too! I think this palette is in a decent price range for what it has to offer (Retail $ 45.00). When I look at palettes in a professional way, I want one that has it all so it can help take the guess work out for me.
Cons: The only problem I had with this palette is there is some fallout when you first use the palette but after the first couple of applications the fallout goes away.
